Marathon | Reveal Cinematic Short (2025)

I don’t like Gen Z memes, but i cannot describe this short as anything but PEAK CINEMA!!! ⌊( ・_・)⌋

This short has everything i love: heightened realism style Alberto Mielgo’s and pinkman.tv’s works are known for, odd paranoid rythmic soundtrack that seems like the tracks that were made for Utopia Tv Show OST, sci-fi based around space horror and the nature of human mind and consciousness, graphic design that was heavily inspired by Designer’s Republic, the calm moment before shit hits the fan, the namesake ship the story happens on fly to the star system from my favorite funny song by Vladimir Vysotsky(which is definitely a coincidence, but come on small coincidences like that make me believe in fate). This thing seems to be made specifically for me

I hadn’t understood shit, but fuck i loved every second of it. Some bugs printing android bodies that later get minds downloaded and go through mental checks of remembering their life, and yes, they slowly get their digital brains scrambled like my breakfast. Some guys barfing in their vacsuits and start hanging on air. The namesake ship stuck through the moon! You know all the good stuff i like

How i had missed the latest short film of my favorite animation team? And how the hell i missed the most stylish game made for big money? And why the hell the most stylish game money can make is an session-based extraction shooter with minimum requirements of exactly my computer?

Because in any multiplayer game minimum requirements slowly grow out of my computer(like Helldivers II for example, it doesn’t even run anymore) so i cannot even fucking try it without being disappointed by shitty optimization later… To be fair i don’t really like PvP shooters, so i don’t really miss anything that is not available in other places :)
