Resident Evil 4 (2005)

Where’s everyone going, bingo?

It was right after that moment that i realized this game would live up to my expectations. Because it’s my favorite form of camp: completely unexpected, but hitting the mark every time. And the whole game played out like that for me. Every element of it is absolutely perfect in its execution

Playing as Leon, while unusual due to the tank controls, was incredibly enjoyable and kicking every villager in the face was a marvelous experience

Ashley surprisingly didn’t annoy me. I’ve heard she annoyed many players, but i actually liked her. Sure, she yelled a lot and wasn’t particularly useful most of the time, but she was in the story for just the right amount of time to be a pleasant character

The Merchant deserves a special mention; the guy has more charisma than most video game merchants, with only just six well-spoken lines

And the cannon fodder is simply magnificently blowing up to pieces :)

Most importantly, the game overall seems quite replayable, and once i’ll get through the previous three Resies, i’ll probably replay this one on Hard. Maybe. Eventually. By the way, i already had bought the first two remakes already
